How We Got Started
The story of Due East Construction & Roofing began with our founder Hollis Shaw, a general contractor originally from New Hampshire, who eventually made his way to Florida. Together with his son, Peter, they built custom homes and worked on various renovations and remodeling projects. As fate would have it, they frequently dealt with storm damage caused by hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and hailstorms.
Recognizing the need for specialized expertise in storm restoration, Charles Patrick, Pete’s son, joined the team and brought his extensive knowledge and experience in handling such situations. For the past ten years, he has been exclusively working on roof repairs for residential and commercial buildings affected by these natural disasters. This focus has allowed us to develop a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements involved in storm damage restoration.
